The area is also home turf for Gaelic games. Croke Park, headquarters of the GAA and the country’s third-largest stadium, sits right on the Dublin 9 and Dublin 3 border, and on match days Drumcondra Road fills with the colours of whichever counties are playing. Dublin City University has two campuses here too, which keeps the area lively without ever feeling like a tourist zone.
