It is a small place, but a genuinely storied one.

Getting to Cong
Cong has no train station, so a car is the practical way to get there, on the N84 from Galway city or the N59 from Westport, each around three-quarters of an hour away. Once you’re settled in, the village itself is small enough to see entirely on foot.
