Bettystown is a seaside town on the east Meath coast, around 45km north of Dublin and just a few kilometres from Drogheda. Its beach runs in an almost unbroken 5km stretch of sand through neighbouring Laytown and Mornington, and it is one of the most popular strands within easy reach of Dublin, regularly awarded Blue Flag status for water quality.
