A small village in the Bann valley on the road between Gorey and Enniscorthy, with roots going back to an early Christian foundation and a long association with the Mount Norris estate.
Camolin is a small north Wexford village on the R772, in the valley of the River Bann and close to the N11, roughly midway between Gorey and Enniscorthy. It takes its name from an early religious house said to have been founded by St Molin, a bishop of Ferns.
The village grew up in the shadow of the Mount Norris estate and had its own railway station from 1867 until the line closed in 1964. Today it is a quiet base a short drive from the bigger draws of the area, the 1798 Rebellion sites around Oulart and Enniscorthy, and the N11 corridor between Dublin and Wexford.

A better stay, direct
Owners answer the questions a booking platform never will: whether the room at the front is quieter, how early breakfast can be served, or where to park for a few days. Speaking to the house directly is how B&Bs in Ireland were booked for decades.
